Furniture range
2019

The UU range is a series of casted objects designed in collaboration with Belgian designer Lies Mertens. Casted from a mixture of acrylic and gypsum, the objects invite experimentation and improvisation in the way they are made. Various shades of the same colour are poured simultaneously in the moulds. As the casting process is unpredictable, the flow of the material starts to inform the design. As a result every object is unique.  

Some objects are carved from a single casted piece, others are reduced to three casted elements held together by their own weight without any fixings, screws or glue. All surfaces are polished by hand giving the object its soft feel. The range will be available in three colors, yet bespoke colors are possible on demand. Each object is hand crafted in Brussels and goes through a careful production process. It takes time to make our products and all objects will be made to order.
